Instagram announced that the company currently has 90 million monthly active users, which is 10% up from December’s statistics. Instagram co-founder Kevin Systrom told AllThingsD that “Instagram continues to see very strong growth around the world.”
Instagram also dropped a few more statistics on their press page stating that they have 40 million photos per day, 8500 likes per second and 1000 comments per second.
Many speculated that Instagram would lose several of its users because of the controversial language that was presented in their new terms of service. However, based on user feedback, Instagram came out with another updated terms of service and a full statement addressing the concerning issues on their blog. Although Instagram may have been at risk initially, they have gained support back from their users and continue to add several users every day.
