The time has come for some employee spotlight! This edition, we’d like to feature our cheery Account Manager, Haaris Ahmed! We asked Haaris to answer a bunch of quirky questions about himself and here’s what he came up with:

Where’d you go to University and what did you study?

Seton Hall University, so I am an official Pirate. Political Science.

Where is your hometown?

Born in Elizabeth, NJ and lived in all around NJ until my parents settled into Warren NJ my freshman year of high school.

How long have you worked at Oniracom?

April 2012

Just what is it you do here?

That’s a good question. I am the Account Manager here at Oniracom and that allows me to wear many hats. I am one of the main points of contact for our clients. I interface with them on community management, marketing, social presence, customer service, parternships, etc. I also train/manage interns, come up with creative copy and advise on all things social media. I could be working on a Twitter giveaway, setting up tour dates, creating newsletters, updating a clients website, & coming up with creative copy for social posts. I get to work with the majority of the staff here at Oniracom.

Before working here, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

Well when I am not working at Oniracom I am a DJ at 92.9 KJEE Santa Barbara’s Modern Rock. Along with my regular DJ duties, I have a specialty show on Sunday nights called New Noize where for an hour I get to blast the airwaves with new music.

Favorite thing about working at Oniracom?

Hands down the people i work with and our clients. They are some of the most creative and innovative people i have ever met and have already learned so much. Plus I can wear my Jordans to work.

What has been your most rewarding or satisfying experience since you joined Oniracom?

Creating and executing a successful social campaign is the most rewarding feeling. Since I get to do a lot of community management for our clients I get to interact directly with fans. The amount of compliments we get for our work and the feeling of letting a fan know they won something is irreplaceable.

Last concert you attended?

I saw Fiona Apple last night, seeing Autolux next week, and just saw Flaming Lips this past Sunday. I am having a bit of an obsession…

Complete the following sentences…

If I wasn’t at the office, you would find me throwing hadukens on the PS3 while listening to new music waiting for thirdman Records to sent their next Vault Vinyl Package.

Three words that describe me are Wu Tang Clan

If I was a cartoon character I would be Roger Rabbit

My ideal Saturday would consist of waking up without an alarm, hanging with my main squeeze, watching a Shaw Brother kung fu flick, going to a concert, and high-fiveing my crew as we hang out.

If I were surprised with a gift of $1,000, I would make it rain at the local record shop.
